    Description

    Field Technician I

    The Field Technician II will safely set, maintain, repair and operate multiple types of natural gas compressors in their respective area for Park Energy Services.

    Duties & Responsibilities
    • Read gas meters and instrumentation recording the amounts of gas received/delivered/consumed and report any operational, temperature and pressure changes as needed in operating logs
    • Watch gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure equipment is working properly
    • Set units and perform start-up procedures on location
    • Maintain replacement/repair parts for assigned units
    • Assist with overhaul of engines, compressors and related components
    • Assist in disassembly and removal of unit from location
    • Use hand tools to clean, lubricate, adjust equipment, replace filters, gaskets and other items while identifying what kind of maintenance is needed
    • Use electronic devices for troubleshooting, testing or commissioning equipment
    • Coordinate and assist with scheduled and unscheduled equipment repair and maintenance
    • Will have call-out rotation responsibilities and respond to unscheduled service calls
    • Submit accurate maintenance reports and other necessary paperwork
    • Maintain a current and valid driver's license
    • Other duties as assigned
    Skills & Competencies
    • Working knowledge of pneumatic and electric starters, electrical systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, lubrication systems, ignition systems and other compression related anatomy
    • Working knowledge of different types of engines and compressors – operations, maintenance and troubleshooting
    • Understand the basic operations of production equipment such separators, dehydrators, etc.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and efficiently utilize other software tools and applications that are beneficial to the position
    • Communicate information effectively with all levels of co-workers by phone, email or in person
    • Able to work independently or with others
    Education & Experience
    • High school diploma or GED is preferred
    • 2+ years mechanical experience on engines and/or other mechanical equipment
    • Prefer experience with modern engines and compressors used in the natural gas industry, including modern electronic engine controls
