Description
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic / Reciprocating Engine Mechanic. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines and associated equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Duties
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel and gas engines
Perform major overhauls and rebuilds on reciprocating engines (power generation units, emissions systems)
Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Inspect and repair fuel, lube oil, cooling, ignition, and air systems
Utilize OEM diagnostic software and tools
Support field service operations, including remote site work
Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
Assist with commissioning and decommissioning of equipment
Collaborate with operations teams to minimize downtime
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred
3–5+ years of heavy-duty or industrial engine experience
Strong knowledge of reciprocating engines in oil & gas or power generation
Experience with diagnostics, rebuilds, and troubleshooting
Valid driver’s license
Reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Work in outdoor and industrial environments
Ability to stand, kneel, and work in confined spaces
