Field Survey Manager

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years of land surveying experience.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, or equivalent work experience of 10 years.
California Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) registration, or ability to obtain reciprocity within 1 year of joining.
Proven experience managing a survey department, leading teams, and overseeing operations.
Strong knowledge of land surveying, survey control, construction staking, boundary surveys, and ALTA surveys.
Proficiency in Civil 3D, Autodesk, Trimble Business Center, Trimble Access, and Vantage.
Experience with coordinate geometry, CAD, survey calculations, topographic maps, legal descriptions, and subdivision maps.
Knowledge of survey quality control, jobsite safety, and federal, state, and local surveying regulations.
Experience managing client relationships, proposals, contracts, project finances, staff mentoring, and employee evaluations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Major Requirements:

Strong leadership and survey department management experience.
California PLS license or eligibility for reciprocity within one year.
Technical expertise in both field surveying and office surveying operations.
Experience overseeing construction staking, survey calculations, and quality control.
Strong client management and project financial management skills.
Preferred: LSIT or PLS certification.
