If you enjoy hands-on technology work, travel, troubleshooting, and working in different environments, this is an excellent opportunity to build your field IT and infrastructure experience.

We are seeking a Field Support Technician I to provide on-site technology and cabling support across a large network of retail locations. This position combines entry-level IT field support with structured cabling, hardware repair, telecommunications, and basic networking responsibilities.

You’ll spend significant time traveling to locations throughout the region, making this a strong fit for someone who enjoys being on the road rather than working behind a desk.

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot and support computers, endpoints, peripherals, and related hardware.

  • Maintain and repair phone system equipment.

  • Assist with networking equipment and store servers.

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair cabling infrastructure.

  • Support larger installations, upgrades, and remodel projects alongside senior technicians.

  • Identify and quickly escalate issues that could impact business operations.

  • Use hand and powered tools in stores, warehouses, construction areas, and other field environments.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • At least 1 year of related technical, field service, cabling, telecommunications, or hardware experience.

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, networking, telecommunications, and cabling.

  • Valid Oregon driver’s license with an excellent driving record.

  • Comfortable with approximately 90% travel and substantial driving.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and occasionally up to 100 lbs.

  • Comfortable working on ladders, roofs, and in confined spaces when required.

  • Strong communication, customer service, organization, and problem-solving skills.

A one-year apprenticeship is preferred, and sponsorship under a licensed journeyman is available.
