Field Support Technician

About the role

• The Field Support Technician will travel to customer homes & survey the roof & gather electrical information to be used during the solar design process. The Field associate will use both a drone and manual methods to collect this information

What you'll do

• Travel to project sites to obtain the necessary information, including electrical data, to complete technical design documents for a solar system
• Create detailed rooftop map layout for solar arrays, including roof layout dimensions and all roof penetrations (pipes, vents, etc.)
• Develop a positive relationship with customers to establish rapport and to gather facilities assessment data as needed
• Conduct a physical site audit using a drone, auditing tools, including a tablet/phone with apps, measuring devices, and other related equipment
• Upload site audit documents and photos to a cloud server 
• Maintain a current driver's license and a clean driving record to safely operate a company vehicle
• Identifies issues on homes that may interfere with our installations
• Interacting with homeowners if questions arise 

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish and English speaking preferred
• Must have an active and valid driver’s license
  Ability to work on the roof in a physically demanding role
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidity

Pay & Benefits

• $20-$25 per hour
