Franks Mr. Plumber is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor to provide technical leadership and quality oversight for our plumbing installation teams. This role ensures installation work meets company standards, specifications, and applicable plumbing codes while helping technicians improve their technical skills, workmanship, and customer service.
The Field Supervisor is a technical and field-quality leader, working closely with the Installation Manager to ensure successful project execution.

As Field Supervisor, you will serve as the technical resource and field-quality leader for Franks plumbing installation teams. You will spend significant time in the field conducting site visits, quality-control audits, ride-alongs, and technical coaching to ensure work is completed safely, correctly, efficiently, and according to applicable plumbing codes.
You will work closely with the Installation Manager, who owns department production, scheduling, crew performance, job costing, and overall department results. The Field Supervisor owns technical excellence, workmanship, field standards, and technical coaching.
Together, these roles ensure crews have the support and direction needed to complete projects successfully and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Oversee plumbing installation jobs to ensure work meets company standards, specifications, and applicable plumbing codes.
Conduct site visits, quality-control audits, and ride-alongs to evaluate workmanship, accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Review job details, blueprints, and scope of work prior to project start.
Serve as the primary technical resource for installation teams and troubleshoot field issues.
Monitor installation callbacks and recurring workmanship issues, identify root causes, and coach technicians to prevent repeat issues.
Provide technical guidance, coaching, and feedback to field technicians.
Train and mentor technicians on technical skills, company processes, safety, and procedures.
Assist with onboarding and technical development of new field technicians.
Verify materials, equipment, and resources are available and properly utilized at job sites.
Communicate project progress, delays, and technical or quality concerns to the Installation Manager.
Assist with technician 1:1s and ride-alongs for technical evaluation and development.
Help troubleshoot customer concerns and ensure a positive customer experience.
Maintain accurate inspection reports, installation checklists, and field notes.
Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve installation quality, field processes, and technician performance.
Perform field/service technician duties as needed.
Experience
710+ years of plumbing experience, including experience overseeing or inspecting installation projects.
Experience with residential and/or commercial plumbing installations.
Previous experience providing technical leadership, coaching, or field oversight.
Education
High school diploma or GED required.
Vocational or technical plumbing training preferred.
Licenses & Certifications
Valid Journeyman or Master Plumber License required.
OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Knowledge & Skills
In-depth understanding of plumbing systems, installation procedures, and applicable plumbing codes, including IPC, UPC, or local equivalents.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Strong technical troubleshooting and field decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide constructive feedback and coach technicians effectively.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently in the field while maintaining strong communication with management and crews.
Comfortable using an iPad and field-service/job-tracking software.
Installation recall/callback rate below 3%.
