    The Role: Oversee the planning and execution of multiple concurrent projects while supporting Lead Technicians in staying organized and on schedule. This role maintains a hands-on presence in the field on larger and/or more complex projects and serves as a standard-setter for installation quality, efficiency, and professionalism. This individual trains and develops Lead Technicians to independently plan and lead their own projects, and serves as a key link between field operations, Project Managers, and leadership on scheduling needs and continuous improvement.

    Skills and Specifications:

    Proven experience as a Lead Technician or Senior Lead Technician in low-voltage systems. Strong technical expertise in structured cabling, fiber, and integrated systems. Demonstrated ability to lead crews and oversee multiple projects simultaneously. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Experience training, mentoring, or developing others preferred. Strong communication and coaching skills. Ability to balance field execution with project oversight and administrative responsibilities. Must have a current driver's license with a good driving record. Ability to climb ladders and lift heavy equipment. Ability to safely operate a scissors and articulated (boom) lift. Position may require travel and 24/7 on call availability.

    Responsibilities:

    Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring each stays on schedule and within scope. Partner with Lead Technicians to plan project approach, sequencing, and crew assignments. Maintain a hands-on presence on the job site for larger and/or more complex projects. Ensure all work meets IBS quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable codes. Train and develop Lead Technicians in:

    Project planning and sequencing Efficient team leadership Job site organization and productivity

    Coach Lead Technicians on how to approach each project to ensure they are efficiently leading their teams. Identify and help resolve field issues before they impact schedule or quality. Provide feedback to Project Managers on scheduling needs and adjustments. Attend foreman meetings to align on project status, staffing, and upcoming needs. Collaborate with leadership on:

    Field operations needs Process and efficiency improvements Staffing and resource planning

    Serve as an escalation point and technical resource for Lead Technicians and field teams. Reinforce best practices in:

    Installation quality Efficiency Safety Professionalism

    Collaborate with Technical Operations Manager to evaluate technician performance and readiness for advancement. Complete required documentation, including project status updates and field reports. Responsible for the maintenance of assigned vehicle, where applicable. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Compensation: Overall compensation varies based on experience level. Starting salary will be based on experience, qualifications, track record and other relevant criteria.
