Field Service Technician – Travel Paid, Will Train, Full Benefits

Why This Role Exists

Our client, an established manufacturer of precision industrial tooling for the printing and packaging industry, is expanding its field service team. The company has relied on a single traveling technician for years and is now adding a second person to the team so the workload and travel are shared rather than resting on one person.

What You'll Do

• Travel to customer manufacturing sites to install, repair, calibrate, and maintain precision tooling and equipment
• Train plant operators on equipment use across shifts
• Provide technical consulting to customers on how to get the most out of their equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues on-site
• Work primarily on one core product line, so once you learn it, the work becomes very consistent across jobs

Requirements

Must-Haves:

• 2+ years of experience in technical/mechanical service (HVAC, automotive, industrial maintenance, or similar hands-on trade)
• Strong mechanical aptitude — comfortable with hand tools, drills, and precision work
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, or assembly diagrams
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 75% of the time, generally Monday–Thursday
• Comfortable with occasional international travel (roughly once or twice a year)

Nice-to-Haves:

• Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge (full training provided)
• Bilingual in Spanish
• Experience in printing, packaging, converting, or manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)

Compensation and Benefits

• Up to $70,000 annually, depending on experience
