About the RoleNOVA Automation builds advanced automation systems, including robotics, material handling, and packaging, for industrial clients across the U.S. and internationally. Service is a core part of our business. Our field service and parts teams support customers for the full life of their systems.We're looking for a self-motivated technician who can solve problems creatively. You'll work with a high degree of autonomy in the field, backed by a small, tight-knit team, and your work will have a visible impact on our customers and the business. There's real room to grow in scope, pay, and influence over how our systems are built and supported.
What You'll Do- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, robot and PLC issues at customer sites.
- Install, service, and perform preventive maintenance on robotic and automated systems.
- Support customers on site and remotely through the full life of their equipment alongside our parts and service teams.
- Share field feedback with engineering. You see real-world system performance most people never do, and we want your input.
- Travel 50 to 75%, typically in weekly increments (out Monday, home by Friday).
Required- PLC troubleshooting and industrial robotics familiarity (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred).
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, comfortable diagnosing and repairing systems hands-on.
- Creative problem-solving and the ability to learn new systems quickly on the job.
- Professionalism and strong customer service skills in a customer-facing role.
- Ability to travel 50 to 75% on a weekly rotation.
Preferred- PLC programming, not just troubleshooting.
- Experience with specific robot OEMs (Fanuc, Kawasaki, Yaskawa, etc.).
- Prior industrial or manufacturing field service experience.
- Trade school certification or military technical background.
Compensation & Benefits- $40 to $60/hour based on experience. Placement reflects PLC and robotics depth, autonomy in the field, and how quickly you ramp up on our systems.
