The Field Service Technician plays a critical role in ensuring optimal performance of audio-visual integration systems. This position involves hands-on installation, testing, troubleshooting integrated systems, repairing components, quality control, and preventative maintenance of AV equipment on client sites. The Field Service Technician acts as a pivotal link between technical expertise and customer satisfaction by providing on-site repairs, technical training, and exceptional support to our client base. Responsibilities: - Provide on-site and preventative service calls to customer job sites.
- Troubleshoot complex audio, video, and control systems (includes replacing and/or repairing LCD/DLP/CRT projection systems, video/audio systems control and switchers).
- Arrange for product returns and/or exchanges with the service coordinator.
- Install, modify, and test integrated systems (includes selecting, setup, and operation of standard test equipment) and interfacing between Project Manager & client.
- Provide technical assistance to other departments and staff, as needed.
- Provide technical phone support (e.g., answer questions, troubleshoot suggestions) to customers and internal staff.
- Provide Service Coordinators with assigned case numbers and close-out paperwork / information in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate product and system capabilities to all levels of clients, including one-on-one situations.
- Provide all documentation in a timely manner (e.g., material and labor reports, preventative maintenance reports, expense reports, job costing records, time sheets, etc).
- Develop and promote the company’s presence as a service provider in the assigned market.
- Establish and support customers utilizing personal selling skills and contacts.
- Perform other activities and responsibilities as directed by management.
