Field Service Mechanical Technician
Pay: Competitive hourly rate + $1.50/hr travel premium,and full travel reimbursement (meals, hotels, flights, etc.).
About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Mechanical Field Service Technician to travel throughout the U.S. (5075%) installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing heavy industrial equipment. When not traveling, you'll support manufacturing operations by assembling generators, piping systems, enclosures, and other industrial components.
What You'll Do
Travel to customer sites for equipment installation, startup, maintenance, and warranty repairs.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
Assemble and install industrial equipment, tanks, generators, piping, louvers, dampers, and structural components.
Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and rigging equipment safely.
Inspect, test, and troubleshoot mechanical systems to ensure quality and performance.
Maintain OSHA-compliant safety standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
35+ years of mechanical assembly or heavy industrial equipment experience.
Experience with forklifts, overhead cranes, rigging, and material handling.
Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift 5075 lbs and travel 5075% across the U.S.
ISO 9001 experience and forklift/crane certifications are a plus.
Valid U.S. passport preferred.
