Field Service Technician

Reports to: Technical Support Manager

POSITION PURPOSE:

Repair and maintenance of testing equipment and facilities for vehicle emission testing stations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform routine diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repair of vehicle OBD analyzers, computers, PC peripherals, and other lane systems following set schedules and procedures.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on buildings and fixtures as assigned and complete all required documentation.
• Assist in maintenance and repair of other company facility and electronic systems such as lighting, doors, alarm, minor plumbing, telephone, and computer peripheral systems.
• Report on assigned work and assist in the completion of records, reports, and other documents.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and analyze appropriate documents to determine cause of malfunctions in test and facility equipment.
• Interface with subcontractor representatives in repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Provide support to Illinois Environmental Protection Agency audit teams as needed.
• Perform other tasks as required by the Technical Support Manager.
