    Description

    HiFyve is hiring a Field Service Technician for a Manufacturing Equipment Company!

    Salary: $25-52/hr also offers per diem

    Shift: Have to be flexible depending on customer needs (could travel on weekends if needed)

    Location: Kansas City Metro / Extensive Travel (North America with occasional international travel)

    60-70% travel

    Role Overview

    Responsible for on-site troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance of industrial food-processing equipment at customer locations. This role involves extensive travel and direct customer interaction, serving as a key technical representative in the field.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Perform on-site troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of industrial food-processing equipment
    • Install new equipment and ensure systems are fully operational per technical specifications
    • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and operational system issues
    • Serve as primary liaison between customers and internal support teams
    • Document all service activities accurately in CRM systems (Salesforce) within required timelines
    • Travel extensively to customer sites across North America with occasional international travel
    • Communicate job progress, findings, and recommendations to service leadership and customers
    • Recommend replacement parts, maintenance services, and equipment improvements
    • Train customers on equipment operation, safety procedures, and best practices
    • Provide on-site and remote technical support and training as needed
    • Maintain strong professional relationships and represent the company in the field

    Education Requirements

    • Associate degree or technical diploma in electrical, mechanical maintenance, automation, or related field preferred
    • Equivalent hands-on experience in field service or industrial maintenance accepted

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • 3+ years of field service, industrial maintenance, or packaging equipment experience (5+ preferred)
    • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting experience
    • Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and system documentation
    • Strong problem-solving skills in customer-facing, high-pressure environments
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing travel schedules
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience preferred
    • Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail

    Other Requirements

    • Valid driver’s license required
    • Valid passport or ability to obtain one required
    • Ability to travel frequently across North America with occasional international travel
