Job Title: Field Service TechnicianJob Description
The Field Service Technician provides both in-house and field service support for electromechanical fare boxes used on public buses and trains across the United States. Approximately 75% of the role focuses on testing, troubleshooting, and repairing fare boxes and circuit boards in a clean manufacturing facility, while the remaining 25% involves national travel to customer sites to install, commission, and service equipment on buses and trains. This position offers strong training, mentorship, and the opportunity to develop complex electrical and electromechanical skills in a client-facing environment.

Work Environment
In-house work takes place in one of the cleanest, brightest, and quietest manufacturing facilities, with highly positive feedback from current Field Service Technicians about the environment and overall experience. The role is a flex position with approximately 75% in-house work and 25% field repair and installation, with national travel that may increase up to 50% after training. Travel begins within the first month and can include indoor and outdoor work in varying climates, such as winter conditions in the Dakotas or summer conditions in Texas. Most field work occurs overnight when buses and trains are out of service, and hours can fluctuate, with weekday work commonly between early morning and late evening and weekend work extending into the evening. Installations typically last between one and seven days. Tools are provided, and all travel costs are covered. Overtime pay is available for weekend work, with enhanced rates for Saturday and Sunday. The culture emphasizes strong training, mentorship, and professional development, with a track record of entry-level candidates progressing to full-time roles and receiving significant pay increases.
