Field Service Engineer
TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a growing team supporting packaging systems across North America. This is a highly visible customer-facing role responsible for equipment installation, troubleshooting, upgrades, maintenance, and technical support.

The ideal candidate will have strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills, experience with PLC-controlled machinery, and the ability to travel extensively to customer sites. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge automation technology while serving as a trusted technical resource for customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain palletizing and packaging equipment at customer facilities.
Perform equipment upgrades, retrofits, and system modifications.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, controls, and automation-related issues.
Provide customer training on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices.
Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Support start-up activities for newly installed systems.
Provide remote technical support as needed.
Document service activities and obtain customer sign-off upon project completion.
Communicate project status, challenges, and resolutions to management and team members.
Follow all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.
Travel throughout North America and internationally when required, including occasional short-notice assignments.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Field Service Technician supporting industrial or manufacturing equipment.
Minimum 3 years of experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs or equivalent controls platforms.
Strong electrical troubleshooting experience, including control panels, sensors, motors, drives, and wiring systems.
Experience working with electromechanical systems and automated machinery.
Knowledge of motion control applications, operator interfaces, and machine safety systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
