Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working directly with customers and sophisticated equipment? We are seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, demonstrate, and maintain equipment at customer sites and in our laboratory environment.
This is a highly visible role for a technically skilled professional who takes ownership of each service call—from preparation and installation through documentation and follow-up. You will work closely with customers, Engineering, Sales, Spare Parts, and After Sales teams to deliver responsive, high-quality service.
Installation and Customer Training
Install equipment and ensure it is operating correctly.
Train customers, operators, and maintenance personnel in both English and Spanis
Coordinate with subject-matter experts and internal departments to support successful installations.
Demonstrate equipment capabilities, operating procedures, and basic maintenance practices.
Troubleshooting and Repairs
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, software, and controls-related issues.
Analyze equipment failures and determine effective corrective actions.
Engineer solutions for special applications when needed.
Repair equipment and restore it to full functionality.
Perform routine preventive maintenance.
Read and interpret electrical plans and troubleshoot electrical components.
Laboratory and Trial-Run Support
Plan, execute, and document internal trial runs.
Design specific laboratory configurations.
Maintain laboratory equipment in excellent technical condition.
Support laboratory technician responsibilities when required.
Documentation and Customer Support
Complete detailed service reports and logs for every service call.
Maintain accurate customer records and document follow-up actions.
Advise customers on equipment use, maintenance, and best practices.
Represent the company with a professional attitude, appearance, and work ethic.
What We’re Looking For
Experience with equipment installation, repair, commissioning, maintenance, or field service.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience analyzing software and controls-related problems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and e-plans.
Strong computer skills and comfort using digital service-reporting systems.
Excellent verbal communication and customer-service skills.
Ability to train customers and maintenance personnel in English and Spanish.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Professional, dependable, organized, and responsive work style.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
Physical ability to lift and carry equipment and work in crouched, squatting, or other demanding positions.
Valid driver’s license.
Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
Willingness to respond to urgent customer needs, including occasional weekend work.
Ability and willingness to travel internationally for assignments of approximately two weeks at a time
.
