This position qualifies for our $5,000 signing bonus. The bonus will be paid at $2,500 at the time of hire and $2,500 after one year of service (with a satisfactory performance review). Please ask for details. 

As an Ohio CAT Field Service Technician, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform major repairs on Caterpillar and other manufacturer equipment in the field. This role is responsible for independently repairing complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems while providing exceptional service to customers at job sites. Field Service Technicians are expected to accurately identify equipment issues, complete repairs efficiently, and ensure equipment is returned to service safely and reliably.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Thorough understanding of heavy equipment systems and repair procedures.
  • Ability to diagnose and perform major repairs on construction and power equipment.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and an acceptable driving record in accordance with Ohio CAT standards.
  • Strong knowledge of Caterpillar equipment and/or other OEM equipment.
  • Knowledge of diesel and natural gas engines.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic information.
  • Experience with hydraulic, electrical, drivetrain, and engine repair.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling
  •  Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines
  •  Dexterity Normal
  •  Repetitive Motions: Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers
  •  The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
