Field Service Technician
Buffalo, NY (onsite)
12+Month Contract
Support high-end equipment (Segment 5+) through press operation, copier operation, bindery, fulfillment, QC, final check, pickup/delivery, facility maintenance, mailroom duties, and related support services.
Support Roswell Park Cancer Institute with equipment break/fix, equipment installations and removals, service calls, toner ordering and delivery, and fleet management.
Work with technicians, end users, and customer teams to schedule and coordinate equipment installations and removals.
This is an allocated position that exists based on business needs and requires Regional Director/MS Operations approval.
Reports to the Site Manager, Site Supervisor, or Assistant Site Manager based on site personnel configuration.
Follow Service Excellence performance requirements.
Provide copy and mail center services, conference room and AV management, convenience copier fleet management, and various support services.
Prepare, inspect, compile, and assemble projects accurately and within required timelines.
Meet deadlines by maintaining a quick and steady work pace while producing quality, error-free work.
Meet facility-established Time Productive standards and maintain all required reporting tools.
Calibrate equipment to match originals for color and quality.
Transfer files electronically from the network to color equipment.
Operate duplication equipment and demonstrate operational knowledge to produce error-free work.
Maximize print performance by simultaneously performing a minimum of two functions on print equipment when workflow permits.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and perform diagnostics, repairs, or component replacement as required.
Maintain machine performance by clearing jams, refilling toner, replacing machine oil, and using machine codes to report equipment failures.
Perform servicing and repair procedures, including diagnostics, installation, removal, and retrofits on highly complex office products.
Schedule and coordinate equipment installations and removals with technicians, end users, and customer teams.
Place service calls and order and deliver toner as needed.
Maintain and organize work schedules while coordinating with different teams.
Maintain and order equipment parts and inventory according to company guidelines and processes.
Organize jobs by validating job name and number, reviewing Job Request Form instructions, and organizing supplies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
Maintain a professional appearance and follow required business-casual dress standards.
Meet attendance requirements by reporting punctually, working scheduled hours, and completing required overtime.
Complete technical training on new equipment as assigned.
Demonstrate required digital competencies associated with assigned products and level assignments.
Work independently and communicate with appropriate teams when assistance is required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of related experience; 5 years preferred.
Experience with equipment and related technical equipment.
Break/fix experience is a plus.
Fleet management experience preferred.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage schedules.
Ability to use, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair office and complex technical equipment.
Ability to interpret, comprehend, and apply complex material, data, and instructions.
Ability to prepare, provide, and convey diversified information.
Ability to work in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and normal temperature and noise levels.
Ability to walk frequently throughout the day.
Ability to push and pull equipment.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.; heavier items should be handled by two people.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 70 lbs., such as cases of paper.
Moderate dexterity with regular use of a calculator, keyboard, hand tools, and eye/hand coordination.
Driving required from time to time to other clinics.
Business casual dress code with comfortable and presentable walking shoes.

Parking costs will be reimbursed; parking is available across from the building for the specified daily rate.
