Job Functions:
- Must be available to travel up to 80% throughout the US and Canada.
- Must reside in PA
- Analyze work orders and plan daily travel schedule.
- Investigate customer issues and resolve problems.
- Diagnose error or technical problems and perform repairs.
- Maintain customer relationships and confidence.
- Perform life cycle management and preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Manage site installation.
- Provide emergency repair and service on location.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge for onsite troubleshooting.
- Advise customers of manufacturer recommended service intervals.
- Provide training to customer personnel.
- Comply with all safety regulations.
- Prepare and submit Field Service Reports.
- Document services performed.
- Order and gather needed components.
- Track time and materials for services rendered.
- Utilize and maintain required PPE.
- Maintain work area in an organized and clean manner.
- Other functions as assigned.
- High School diploma required.
- Associate Degree in related field preferred.
- Technical training and locomotive or transit vehicle experience preferred.
- Knowledge of blueprint and schematic reading.
- Must have strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Good communication and organization skills.
- Problem analysis and resolutions skills.
- Familiar with proper safety procedures including personal protective equipment requirements.
- Active listening and learning skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Interpersonal and customer service skills required.
- Must have the ability to travel 80% of the time. Will travel to sites throughout the United States including Milwaukee, Detroit, Dallas, San Francisco, El Paso and many more.
