    Description

    We provide field service and technical support for industrial semiconductor manufacturing equipment. We are seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support customers with the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of specialized process equipment at semiconductor manufacturing facilities.

    In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical expert, traveling to customer sites to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and optimize equipment performance. Your efforts will help minimize downtime, enhance safety, and maintain continuous production operations.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Field Support

    • Travel to customer sites to support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance; serve as main field contact and lead for new equipment/system start-ups at multiple fabs.
    • Assist in writing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Safe Work Permits; perform customer walkthroughs for new jobs.

    Project Management

    • Provide customer updates and assist in coordinating Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), Site Acceptance Tests (SATs), and installation schedules.

    Technical Engineering Support

    • Serve as SME with Quality to develop Sequence of Operations (SOO) documentation; review P&IDs for accuracy; assist controls engineers with process logic and operational requirements.
    • Troubleshoot automation and mechanical systems; act as direct contact with electrical department; support field service during startup/commissioning; recommend design, reliability, and efficiency improvements.

    Procurement & Material Management

    • Source specialty materials/equipment, obtain vendor quotes, support purchasing decisions and vendor coordination, and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs).

    Customer & Business Support

    • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships; provide technical recommendations and practical solutions to help customers meet operational objectives.

    Shop Work

    • Support shop workload increases and facilities maintenance as needed.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 1+ years of technical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, maintenance, or field service experience; hands-on experience with chemicals, gases, or electrical components.
    • Fluent with Microsoft Office applications.
    • Strong customer-facing professionalism and communication; able to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Continuous learner capable of executing multiple projects/objectives; able to follow directions, Work Instructions (WIs), and SOPs.
    • Able to regularly lift 50+ lbs and stand, sit, or kneel for extended periods.
    • Valid driver's license with clean driving record; able to pass background check and drug screen.
    • Commitment to safe work practices when using tools and interacting with customer equipment, ensuring both personal safety and the protection of client assets.

    • Certification in orbital welding — ideal for high-precision, high-purity applications.
    • Experience in controls engineering — helps with advanced troubleshooting and automation upgrades.
