    Field Service Technician

    Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | 40 hours/week

    Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a dependable Field Service Technician to support the operation and maintenance of decentralized wastewater treatment systems.

    This is an entry-level, hands-on field position. Previous wastewater experience is not required—the company will train the right person and provide support toward obtaining the required wastewater operator license.

    Responsibilities

    • Travel to wastewater treatment stations throughout the workday.
    • Collect process and compliance samples, including pH testing.
    • Monitor flow rates, chemical levels, and equipment status.
    • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs.
    • Respond to system alarms and troubleshoot basic issues.
    • Maintain accurate electronic logs, photos, testing data, and compliance documentation.
    • Follow EPA, environmental, and company safety procedures.
    • Participate in an on-call rotation as needed.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Valid driver's license and acceptable 5-year MVR.
    • Must pass a background check.
    • Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills.
    • Dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
    • Comfortable using email and basic computer applications.
    • Able to work independently, outdoors, and spend much of the day driving between sites.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to obtain the required wastewater operator license within 12 months.
    • Plumbing, electrical, mechanical, maintenance, field service, or wastewater experience is a plus but not required.

    Training & Benefits of the Role

    • Approximately 2+ weeks of hands-on training alongside an experienced technician.
    • Company provides required tools and PPE.
    • Company provides training and assistance toward wastewater licensing.
    • Additional stipend for on-call rotation.
    • If dispatched while on call, hours worked are paid at time-and-a-half.
    • Opportunity to take the company vehicle home after the probationary period and demonstrated dependability.
