Job Summary:
The Field Service Support Specialist coordinates and executes field operations and sample logistics across a utility service territory. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and driving capabilities to manage inventory, support engineering projects, and maintain efficient field processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule, organize, and execute field visits across multiple projects
Manage test sample inventory, including delivery, labeling, inspection, and tracking
Coordinate transportation of materials and maintain accurate records
Track samples and data using SharePoint and Excel
Generate inspection reports for engineering teams
Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to communicate sample status
Support engineering and testing projects as needed
Identify opportunities for process and supply chain improvements
Train field personnel and provide feedback on collection processes
Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high-quality service delivery
Track A-Tags, B-Tags, outages, and field events
Establish efficient pickup routes and improve logistics processes
Required Experience:
Strong coordination and organizational skills
Experience managing inventory or supply chain processes
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Strong communication and customer service skills
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Background in electric utility or construction processes
Experience in project or construction management
Experience providing training
Consulting or client-facing experience
