    Description

    We are looking for a highly skilled Field Service Supervisor specializing exclusively in Power Transformers. In this pivotal role, you will lead the onsite installation, commissioning, and technical support for large-scale power transformers (up to 850 MVA / 500 kV). This position requires a technical expert who thrives in dynamic field environments and maintains the highest standards of safety and quality.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Onsite Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the full lifecycle of transformer installation and commissioning for units up to 850 MVA / 500 kV.
    • Technical Oversight: Oversee the assembly of all external components and peripherals ensuring 100% compliance with technical specifications.
    • Testing & Diagnostics: Lead pre-commissioning activities and perform onsite electrical testing; provide expert troubleshooting for field-related issues.
    • Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Conduct thorough investigations into equipment failures or performance issues and deliver actionable technical reports.
    • Subcontractor Management: Act as the primary supervisor for onsite subcontractors, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and to Hyundai’s quality standards.
    • Customer Relations: Serve as the technical point of contact for customer engineers, providing guidance during testing and maintaining professional representation of the company.
    • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive field service documentation, including daily logs, incident reports, and final commissioning certificates.

    Requirements

    • Industry Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience in the installation and commissioning of Power Transformers (MANDATORY).
    • Technical Proficiency: Proven track record in transformer electrical testing, troubleshooting, and external component wiring.
    • Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with vacuum oil processing, oil handling procedures, and high-voltage safety protocols.
    • Supervisory Skills: Strong experience in managing subcontractors and leading multi-disciplinary teams in industrial settings.
    • Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric communication style.
    • Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% (domestic and international); remote work-from-home available when not traveling.
