Title: Field Service Supervisor
Location: Houston, TX
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $140k-$155k/yr.

Sterling Engineering is looking for a Field Services Supervisor in Houston, TX with a leading industrial technology company. This person will lead a team of field engineers and oversee commissioning, service, and field engineering projects. The role will work closely with customers and internal engineering teams to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and successfully.

Job Duties:
  • Lead and support a team of Field Engineers, including remotely located team members.
  • Oversee commissioning, field service, and engineering projects from planning through completion.
  • Manage field resources, schedules, project performance, and customer expectations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for electrical and automation systems.
  • Coordinate with customers, engineering teams, project managers, and other internal departments to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor project performance, costs, schedules, and financial results.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex field engineering and technical issues.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in field service processes and project execution.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Support the development, training, and performance of field engineering personnel.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support customers and projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
  • Experience leading engineering, field service, or technical teams.
  • Background in electrical systems, automation, controls, or industrial technology.
  • Experience managing commissioning and field service projects.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with resources, schedules, budgets, and project financials.
  • Experience working in metals, material handling, paper, or general industrial environments preferred.
  • Experience managing or supporting remotely located teams is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% domestically and internationally.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
