    Summary:

    Provides technical support, and job site leadership to assure a competent, highly qualified workforce. Redeems customer commitments in a professional, high-quality, and timely manner. In addition to the responsibilities of being a technician, this role also encompasses supervisory and training duties to enhance team performance and safety.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist field technicians with technical questions and concerns.
    • Escalate field concerns to Tech Manager, Service Manager immediately.
    • Assist with any parts ordering questions.
    • Provide training on COINS system to new field technicians.
    • Monitor and enforce adherence to company safety policies and procedures, ensuring all technicians use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
    • Encourage safe work practices and behaviors among technicians, fostering a positive safety culture within the team.
    • Keep technical knowledge up to date regarding equipment and concepts.
    • Problem solve to determine when equipment can be repaired or needs replacement.
    • Read applicable manuals to stay current with new products and techniques.
    • Directly supervise Installers/Service Representatives Trainees and Maintenance Representatives.

    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Three to five years of related supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Competent understanding of mechanical systems.
    • Ability to identify problems and propose cost-effective solutions.
    • A valid state driver's license or ability to obtain one by the start of employment.

    Physical Demands:

    • Work is mostly performed in an outdoor setting, with some tasks in an office environment.
    • Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment.
    • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
    • Frequently required to stand and talk or hear, walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and smell.
    • Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights.
    • Occasionally lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
    • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    Work Environment:

    • Normally works in outside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, and in high, precarious places.
    • Exposure to wet and humid conditions, airborne particles, and confined spaces.
