    JOB OVERVIEW

    The Field Service Supervisor oversees field service technicians, ensuring compliance with project requirements and company policies. This role coordinates logistics, equipment, and documentation for field operations, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, and maintains a safety-focused, high-performance team culture. The supervisor also manages hiring, training, and employee performance while addressing onsite challenges and supporting project success.

     

    ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to)

    • Review and understand project contractual field service requirements with the Project Manager.
    • Schedule and coordinate field service technicians based on contract needs.
    • Arrange travel logistics, including flights, hotels, and vehicle rentals.
    • Attend project kickoff or planning meetings (virtual or onsite) as required.
    • Coordinate equipment needs with internal/external parties and reserve equipment with the Material Planner.
    • Compile and provide technicians with necessary documentation (e.g., site address, safety plans, SDS sheets, inspection checklists).
    • Schedule onsite orientations and trainings with other trades.
    • Ensure all required parts, tools, hardware, and PPE are shipped or available for technicians.
    • Provide guidance to resolve onsite issues and questions for field technicians.
    • Promote a safety-first culture and enforce company policies.
    • Support leadership directives, participate in hiring/training, and monitor team morale.
    • Screen, hire, train, and retain field technicians, conducting performance reviews, discipline, and terminations.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum 5 years in a management or supervisory role.
    • Strong knowledge of fabrication and machining concepts, practices, and procedures.
    • Strong team collaboration, communication, and leadership skills to provide clear direction.
    • Analytical skills for solving complex problems and evaluating information.
    • Detail-oriented to identify minor errors that could lead to significant issues.
    • Strong organizational skills to manage budgets, employees, and schedules concurrently.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

     

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    • Experience with Syteline
    • Proficiency in blueprint reading
