    We are the North American division of Metrohm AG (Herisau, Switzerland), a global leader in high-precision laboratory instruments and solutions for chemical analysis. We're currently seeking a Field Service Specialist with ion chromatography (IC) expertise to support our customers across a territory that includes New York City and Boston, ideally based in the Long Island, NY area.

     

    What You'll Do

    As a Metrohm Field Service Specialist, you'll be the face of our Ion Chromatography Service team-providing technical support and on-site service that keeps our customers' instruments running at peak performance.

    You will:

    • Perform installations, repairs, calibrations, certifications, preventive maintenance, and refresher training for benchtop IC systems.

    • Support customers both on-site and remotely (via phone, email, Teams).

    • Partner with Process Analytics teams to support IC instruments in advanced process systems.

    • Manage a dynamic schedule across a multi-state territory.

    • Build strong customer relationships through expert service and communication.

    • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Support, and Product teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.

     

    Territory

    This role covers the greater NYC and Boston areas, with periodic travel to other U.S. regions as needed. The territory includes a mix of urban and rural markets, offering opportunities to engage with a diverse customer base. Candidates should be comfortable managing travel across multiple states and adapting to varying client needs and environments.

     

    What You Bring

    • BS/BA in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline.

    • 2-4 years of hands-on experience repairing ion chromatography or related laboratory instrumentation.

    • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

    • Strong time management and the ability to work independently.

    • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory and occasionally outside the region.

    Bonus Points For:

    • Previous experience traveling for field service work.

    • Familiarity with process-based IC applications.
