We are the North American division of Metrohm AG (Herisau, Switzerland), a global leader in high-precision laboratory instruments and solutions for chemical analysis. We're currently seeking a Field Service Specialist with ion chromatography (IC) expertise to support our customers across Ohio, Kentucky, portions of West Virginia & Indiana, ideally based in the Columbus area.

What You'll Do

rn

As a Metrohm Field Service Specialist, you'll be the face of our Ion Chromatography Service team-providing technical support and on-site service that keeps our customers' instruments running at peak performance.

You will:

rn

rn

• Perform installations, repairs, calibrations, certifications, preventive maintenance, and refresher training for benchtop IC systems. rn
• Support customers both on-site and remotely (via phone, email, Teams). rn
• Partner with Process Analytics teams to support IC instruments in advanced process systems. rn
• Manage a dynamic schedule across a multi-state territory. rn
•  Build strong customer relationships through expert service and communication. rn
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Support, and Product teams to deliver a seamless customer experience. rn

Territory

This role covers Ohio, Kentucky, western West Virginia, and the southern portion of Indiana, with periodic travel to other U.S. regions as needed. The territory includes a mix of urban and rural markets, offering opportunities to engage with a diverse customer base. Candidates should be comfortable managing travel across multiple states and adapting to varying client needs and environments.

What You Bring

rn

• BS/BA in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline. rn
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience repairing ion chromatography or related laboratory instrumentation. rn
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. rn
• Strong time management and the ability to work independently. rn
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory and occasionally outside the region. rn

• Previous experience traveling for field service work. rn
• Familiarity with process-based IC applications. rn
