    About the Opportunity

    We're partnering with a well-established leader in the heavy equipment industry to hire a Field Service Mechanic based in Phoenix, Arizona.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanic who enjoys working independently, solving complex mechanical problems, and servicing a variety of heavy equipment in the field. You'll work on cranes, concrete pumps, semi-trucks, trailers, and other specialized equipment while being supported by an experienced service team.

    The Role

    As a Field Service Mechanic, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing heavy equipment at customer sites. You'll perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and emergency repairs while ensuring every job is completed safely and efficiently.

    Responsibilities

    • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and brake systems

    • Service cranes, concrete pumps, trucks, trailers, and other heavy equipment

    • Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections

    • Read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and blueprints

    • Complete welding and light fabrication when required

    • Accurately complete service reports and warranty documentation

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully equipped service truck

    • Communicate job progress and repair recommendations with customers and the service team

    • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and company procedures

    • Deliver exceptional customer service during every field visit

    What We're Looking For

    • Minimum 2 years of experience repairing heavy equipment, diesel equipment, or commercial vehicles

    • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

    • Experience working with hydraulic and electrical systems

    • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints

    • Ability to work independently and manage field service assignments

    • Excellent communication and customer service skills

    • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety

    Required Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED

    • Valid Class B CDL (minimum)

    • Current DOT Medical Card

    • Clean driving record

    • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Welding and fabrication experience

    • Forklift Certification

    • CPR / First Aid Certification

    Physical Requirements

    • Lift up to 75 pounds

    • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions

    • Frequently stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and crawl

    • Comfortable working around heavy machinery and mechanical equipment
