Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support customers throughout Baltimore, Hagerstown, and Washington, DC region.
You’ll be the go-to expert diagnosing and repairing specialized utility trucks and equipment in the field, including bucket trucks, digger derricks, cranes, service trucks, and other utility and construction equipment.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, utility equipment, and trucks at customer locations.
- Perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections to maximize equipment uptime.
- Road test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation and safety.
- Document repairs accurately and communicate service updates professionally with customers and internal teams.
- Manage service calls efficiently while working independently in the field.
- Safely operate, maintain, and inventory a company-provided service truck.
- Collaborate with the CTOS Field Service team to deliver exceptional customer support.
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Field Service Technician related experience (Heavy Equipment, Truck or Utility Equipment Technician.)
- Class B CDL required.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair equipment independently in the field.
- Strong documentation, organizational and time-management skills.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel throughout the Baltimore, Hagerstown, and Washington, DC service territory, including occasional overnight travel.
