We are currently looking for a experiences Field Service Manager s to join our team at our Field Service team in Houston.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Field Service, the Manager, Field Service is responsible for meeting the requirements established by TransCanada Turbines, focused on field service provision for our customers which includes parts and overhaul sales
Duties
The duties may include but will not be limited to the following:
- Manage field service work of General Electric and/or Siemens SGT aero derivative industrial gas turbines, ensuring that this work is carried out in accordance with the applicable OEM manuals/contract, TCT specifications and procedures, and standard industry practices.
- Field service work scope responsibilities including manage/supervise personnel, prepare work schedules, organize tooling, analyze risk assessment, milestone billing/invoicing, reporting, field service audits, safety & quality checks of field jobs and “hands on” training of Field Service Representatives.
- Work closely with other members of the Global Field Service Team, Project Management, Depot Production, Test Cell, Commercial, Finance, Engineering & Quality, to produce quality service and achieve the company goal of “Best of Class” Operations.
- Liaise with customer and plant managers during the performance of field maintenance activities.
- Determine staffing requirements, oversee the interview, hiring and training of new employees with the assistance of the corporate human resources department.
- Ensure that RFQ’s received are analyzed to establish potential profitability and the need for clarification in the quotation process.
- Prepare and maintain a business development strategy.
- Set-up and maintain a field service and in branch capability wherever necessary.
- Assist with, and where necessary in contract negotiations.
- Report on business development and field service issues/progress on a regular basis, as defined by the Senior Manager, Global Field Service.
- Monitor third party business and suppliers to ensure that they are efficient and effectively, providing the needed services and supplies while staying within budgetary limits.
- Represent TransCanada Turbines in all activities, as requested by the President.
- Understand, implement, and enforce the TCT safety program.
- Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.
- Increase knowledge of the HSE Policy and Manual and maintain a positive attitude towards the health and safety of myself and my coworkers.
- Take ownership of HSE issues and demonstrate enthusiasm and support for HSE.
- Other duties as determined by the Senior Manager, Global Field Service.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in field service management, depot operations, or a related service function, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Candidates will preferably possess a strong comprehensive understanding of Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) maintenance, repair and overhaul methodology & related processes as they apply to General Electric (LM6000 and LM2500) and/or Siemens SGT (A35 and A20) aero derivative industrial gas turbines.
- Proven record for performance with set goals.
- Excellent oral, written & listening skills.
- Judgment and decision-making skills with ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and choose the appropriate path.
- Ability to identify measures of performance and actions needed to improve or correct performance.
- Well-spoken and have ability to speak clearly and confidently in all business settings.
- Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, and e-mail.
- Ability to delegate, set expectations and monitor progress of all direct reports.
- Possess prioritization skills necessary to use time effectively and set action plans to achieve business targets.
