Job TitleInstallation & Commissioning EngineerJob DescriptionInstallation & Commissioning Install, calibrate, and commission industrial control systems, tank gauging systems, instrumentation, valves, and mechanical fittings at customer sites worldwide. Perform system calibration, testing, and validation to confirm proper operation before customer acceptance. Document installation procedures, equipment settings, and commissioning results for customer records and compliance.Troubleshooting & Repair Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues involving controls, instrumentation, electronics, valves, fittings, and mechanical systems. Perform field testing using electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, diagnostic tools) and mechanical analysis to identify root causes. Implement repairs, replacements, or recalibrations to restore systems to full operational capability.Customer Training & Support Conduct on-site and in-house training sessions on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and regulatory compliance. Develop training materials, documentation, and technical guides tailored to customer needs and environments. Build long-term customer relationships by ensuring they are confident and capable of operating and maintaining systems independently.International Field Service & Travel Travel to customer sites internationally (up to 70% of the time) to provide installation, commissioning, maintenance, and support services. Manage logistics, schedule coordination, and travel planning to ensure efficient field operations and customer satisfaction. Maintain professional representation of Cognesense and build strong customer relationships across international markets.Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate and detailed service records, work logs, maintenance reports, and field notes for all customer interactions and service activities. Document equipment specifications, configuration settings, calibration data, and any modifications made during service visits, using specific documentation softwareTeam Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Collaborate with engineering, sales, technical support, and operations teams to resolve complex issues and optimize field service delivery. Report installation defects, equipment issues, or design concerns to product engineering teams for resolution.
