Field Service Engineer - Data Center

You’ll apply your technical skills to support critical infrastructure like data centers and utility networks, working directly with advanced transformer technology and integrated hardware-software solutions to ensure grid reliability and efficiency. • Conduct electrical tests on transformers, such as bushing power factor and capacitance, core megger, TTR, winding resistance, insulation power factor, and insulation resistance.

Johnson Service Group, a nationally recognized staffing firm, is targeting a Remote Field Service Engineer for our widely diversified, critical equipment manufacturing client. You’ll apply your technical skills to support critical infrastructure like data centers and utility networks, working directly with advanced transformer technology and integrated hardware-software solutions to ensure grid reliability and efficiency.

69kV and above experience is a must | Data Center experience a must | up to 85% Travel | 

How you’ll make an impact:
•    Deliver remote and on-site service for installation, maintenance, and advanced support.
•    Install transformer hardware, sensors, and accessories.
•    Configure and validate physical communication connectivity.
•    Integrate and test transformer software, including firmware upgrades.
•    Serve as the on-site contact for customers and subcontractors.
•    Strategically assign tasks to reduce costs and project time.
•    Conduct electrical tests on transformers, such as bushing power factor and capacitance, core megger, TTR, winding resistance, insulation power factor, and insulation resistance.
•    Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
•    Associate degree with 3 years of professional experience or High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of professional experience
•    Physically fit for duty and fieldwork
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
•    Experience in data center fieldwork is a plus
•    Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 85%
