Job Summary:
Completes preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on engines and related components at the customer site with minimal direction.
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our Distribution business in (Kapolei, HI).

Will make an impact in the following ways:
Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
Maintain own tools
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics
Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality
Demonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources.
Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level.
Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts.
Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software
Travel throughout Oahu to support customer locations including construction, healthcare, telecommunications, government, hospitality, industrial, and commercial facilities.
Occasionally travel to neighbor islands (Maui, Kauai, Hawaii Island, and Lanai) to assist with maintenance and repair activities as business demands require.
Support emergency power restoration efforts during storms, natural disasters, and utility outages.
Work in tropical outdoor environments, including high heat, humidity, rain, and coastal conditions.
Maintain compliance with Hawaii-specific environmental, transportation, and safety regulations.
Represent the Kapolei branch professionally while building strong customer relationships within the local community.
DOT
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred).
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
Locally valid driving permit.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Minimal level of workshop related experience required.
Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
Locally valid driving permit.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
