AWS is seeking a driven and talented Business Operations Analyst to play a critical role on our Worldwide Public Sector Partners and WW Aerospace & Satellite Operations team.

This role is an important point of coordination between the WWPS partners sales teams, finance teams, and AWS technical organizations, and is responsible for driving scalable operational mechanisms, creating strategic narratives, and supporting operational cadences to drive growth in secure government regions. Data analysis is at the core of Amazon's culture, and your work will have a direct impact on decision-making and strategy for our organization. Close partnership with leaders and organizations outside of your immediate team will be necessary, as you will compile data and information that will influence decisions at the most senior levels in Amazon. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical abilities, strong business acumen and judgement, and superior communication skills, along with a passion for pursuing operational excellence.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Key job responsibilities

  • Extract raw usage and financial data from business databases and data warehouse, and perform analytics to produce meaningful reports that enable decision making
  • Develop reporting systems and performance dashboards that encompass key metrics to be reviewed with senior WWPS leaders in order to drive and manage the business
  • Generate metrics and deliver regular reports on progress against KPIs to senior leaders and internal stakeholders
  • Support customers with analysis, ad-hoc data requests, meetings/presentations, and strategic planning activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, create new processes/solutions, and resolve complex problems
