The Field Quality teams mission is to improve customer experience of Tesla products by reducing field issues. The role is responsible for products such as Powerwall, Megapack, and Supercharger, and works cross-functionally with other engineering and service teams.
We are seeking a multi-faceted engineer who will be responsible for all aspects of identifying, analyzing, root causing, implementing countermeasures, and reporting on issues affecting products. To be effective, the Field Quality engineer will need to be intimately familiar with the detailed behavior of our Energy Products and the tools and equipment used in their design and manufacture.
They will work with other engineering teams to quickly mitigate and implement countermeasures of field issues to improve quality, reliability, and durability of the products.
Requirements:
The successful candidate for this position must have a broad engineering background with the ability to work with design engineering, manufacturing, service, and suppliers across a wide variety of issues.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are an absolute requirement to establish effective working relationships within Tesla and outside.
Ability to use tools and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data.
Programming Languages & Tools: SQL, Python, Jupyterhub, Minitab, Tableau, JMP, or similar are a strong plus.

Expected Compensation: $109,600 - $234,000 annual salary, cash, and stock awards.
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
