    Field Payroll Specialist


    Location: North Salt Lake
    Duration: 2–3 Month Assignment
    Start Date: ASAP


    We are seeking a detail-oriented Field Payroll Specialist to join our team for an immediate temporary assignment. This role will provide critical support to a small team responsible for processing payroll, including certified payroll functions. The ideal candidate has prior payroll experience—particularly with certified payroll—but strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills may be sufficient for candidates eager to learn and contribute quickly.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support payroll processing activities for field employees and project teams
    • Assist with preparation and processing of certified payroll documentation
    • Review, verify, and audit payroll data for accuracy and completeness
    • Analyze payroll reports and identify discrepancies or inconsistencies
    • Maintain employee records and payroll-related documentation
    • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry, reporting, tracking, and analysis
    • Communicate with internal teams regarding payroll questions and updates
    • Ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment

    Qualifications:

    • Previous payroll processing experience preferred
    • Certified payroll experience strongly preferred, but not required
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, spreadsheets, and data organization
    • Experience with data analysis or handling large data sets preferred
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
    • Able to work independently and adapt quickly in a team environment
