The Opportunity We are representing a global leader in cardiac medical devices. We are looking for a tenacious 'Paperwork Detective' to work directly in NYC hospitals. Your job is to ensure that patients discharged with our life-saving equipment have the correct medical documentation on file so their insurance covers the care.

Why This Role?
  • Bridge to Industry: This is a rare entry-level role in Medical Devices that focuses on revenue cycle and operations, not sales.
  • Autonomy: You are not stuck in a billing office. You are in the field, moving between hospitals, managing your own schedule. You manage your own day in the field. No office to report to.
  • Career Growth: You will become an expert in medical reimbursement and hospital operations—a highly valuable skill set for future Hospital Administration or Medical Sales roles.
  • Career Path: This is a proven launchpad. Successful Coordinators frequently promote into sales associate roles (Medical Sales) within 2 years, where earning potential increases 3-5x.
  • Accessibility: No Bachelor’s degree required. No car required (NYC friendly).

The Mission When a patient is prescribed our device, the paperwork (notes, signatures, insurance authorizations) must be perfect. If it isn't, the claim is denied. Your role is to:

  • Hunt down the documents: Physically visit units to locate charts and medical records.
  • Chase the signature: Find the prescribing physician and get the necessary signatures on 'Face-to-Face' notes and orders.
  • Solve the puzzle: Review patient files to ensure the clinical notes match the insurance payers' strict requirements.
  • Partner with Staff: Build relationships with Unit Secretaries and Case Managers so they help you get what you need.

Who We Are Looking For
  • The 'Chart Shark': You know your way around a medical record. You know what a 'Face-to-Face' note is.
  • Hospital Savvy: You are comfortable walking into a Nurse's Station or Medical Records department and asking for what you need.
  • Tenacious: You aren't afraid to politely pester a busy doctor for a signature.
  • Backgrounds:Cardiac Sonographer, Cardiovascular Technologist, Case Management, Clinical Support Representative, CNA, Discharge Planning Assistants, EMT, Hospital Patient Access, LPN, Med Tech, Medical Assistant, Medical Records Clerks (HIM), Nurse Technician, Patient Care Assistant, Patient Transporter, Physician Sleep Advisor, Registered Respiratory Therapist, RN, Unit Secretaries
