Location: Statewide (will be launching field across the state of Oregon, depending on our candidate endorsements)

Contract Period: 10/13/2026 through 11/3/2026 with the opportunity to extend to 11/20 for ballot chasing

Classification: Part-Time or Full-Time; Limited term contract through 11/3/2026

Compensation: $25.00 per hour, up to 40 hours a week

$26.00 per hour for bilingual, spanish speaking individuals

Who We Are

We are a multiracial group of passionate, feminist, racial justice-minded people who are committed to building structures in our society that will support the work of caregiving. We believe that caring for our children, our parents, and other loved ones is fundamental to our society, and our economy - and the lack of value for the work of caring for others is one of the root causes of large-scale gender and racial inequities.

We started as a grassroots group of impacted mothers and have grown into a leading advocacy organization on gender and economic justice in Oregon. We work for systemic change by: 1) organizing mothers and caregivers into a movement to fight for a more equitable system, 2) shifting cultural attitudes about work and care; 3) advocating for bold public policies like universal child care, paid sick days, paid family and medical leave, a higher minimum wage, equal pay for equal work, and more.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Field Organizer who will implement field program activities to support our electoral and advocacy campaigns. The Field Organizer is responsible for executing outreach goals, building relationships with voters and community members, and mobilizing supporters toward the organization's campaign goals. This position reports to the Field Manager.

For All Families Oregon Action is an intersectional feminist organization committed to racial and gender justice. It is critical that the ideal candidate understands and is able to communicate about systems of oppression and has the drive to organize mamas and caregivers across race and class. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Takes part in phone banks, digital events, textbanks, canvasses
• Engages people in conversation by going door to door
• Travel to assigned geographic territory and working in all weather conditions
• Attends all mandatory onboarding, training, and supervisory check-ins.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteer canvassers and phone bankers.
• Execute outreach plans and meet daily and weekly contact goals set by the Field Manager.
• Collect and input voter data accurately into advocacy technology tools (VAN, Mobilize, etc.).
• Represent For All Families Oregon Action at community events, tabling opportunities, and public gatherings.
• Support coordination with endorsed candidate campaigns on shared field activities as assigned by the Field Manager.
• Provide feedback and insights from the field to inform campaign strategy.

Required Skills & Attributes

• Available for frequent and regular evening and weekend activities.
• Willingness to travel as needed to other parts of Oregon with some regularity.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Prefered: At least one (1) year of experience in electoral organizing, political campaigns, grassroots advocacy, or community organizing (paid or volunteer).
• Friendly and outgoing; excited to meet new people, build relationships, and bring them into the movement.
• Experience with organizing/advocacy software and tools (VAN, EveryAction, Mobilize, GetThru, or similar platforms) is a plus but not required-training will be provided.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Have a commitment to For All Families Oregon Action's mission and an understanding of the barriers mothers, caregivers, and women of color face.
• Commitment to gender, racial, and economic justice work.
• Have excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Be able to work independently and collaboratively within a racially and culturally-diverse team environment.
• Access to reliable internet and cell phone service.

While performing the duties of this contract, you'll regularly be required to sit, stand, walk, use stairways to climb to multiple floors, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms. You may be required to perform minimal heavy lifting and walking during peak events.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this contract, you may occasionally be exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather), and extreme heat (non-weather). This contract requires frequent computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this contract include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Contract Terms

This is a hybrid, 20 hour minimum, limited term contract position from 10/13/2026 through 11/03/2026. The contractor will be supervised by the Field Manager.

This is a paid, limited term contract position structured to provide professional services to For All Families Oregon Action This contract is designed as a fixed-term position and does not constitute an offer of, or a guarantee for, future employment with For All Families Oregon Action.
