The Level II Field Mechanic will be responsible for the following:
- Perform and train others on repairs and how to maintain all equipment and vehicles on job sites.
- Ability to diagnose and operate equipment.
- Maintain proper record keeping, open work orders for all repairs, and distribute workload as needed.
Requirements:
- Overnight travel will be required. Including some Weekends.
- Ability to work on both job sites and shop environments.
- Minimum of 5+ years related work experience on construction equipment.
- Ability to tear down and rebuild engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, differentials/gear boxes, and undercarriage components.
- Must be capable of leading shop function on any given day including but not limited to personnel, parts ordering, diagnosing, quoting repairs etc.
- Ability to repair all types of construction equipment.
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- DOT certification required.
- Must have own comprehensive set of tools to complete mechanical repairs.
- Knowledge to lead a large variety of repairs
- Must be familiar with diagnostic tools and troubleshooting.
