Job Summary
To service, repair, and maintain the mechanical functionality of all construction equipment. Complete on-the-job and classroom training in the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components of the product line and associated repair/service procedures to be successful as an equipment mechanic. Mechanic reports to Fleet Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities
Maintain a repair log of all service work, parts needed, and duration of time on each repair
Uphold Stracks safety commitment as well as any safety requirements of the customers
Determine overall condition of machines through inspections and provide maintenance
Diagnose issues with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Restore equipment to working order through component replacement and/or repair
Exhibit positive and effective communication and interaction with other Strack, Inc. team members.
Utilize parts & maintenance manuals and specialty diagnosis equipment in determining procedures and identifying parts

Must be willing and able to travel out of town, and/or out of state, to work on job sites.

Requirements
Excellent driving record
Experience and/or educational background related to mechanical, electronic, or hydraulic system.
Overtime may be required
Able to develop the computer skills necessary to complete support duties
Physical effort is required to move objects and service-related tools that may weigh up to 75 pounds; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling are required to service and repair equipment
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
Valid Drivers License
High School diploma or equivalent
