Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance duties including but not limited to maintaining and repairing physical structures, equipment, plumbing, painting, roofing, concrete, asphalt, drywall, electrical systems, and installing fixture/equipment in our stores. Complete Top 10 List at restaurants.
• Required to follow general food safety practices in the restaurants and brand standards.
• Light janitorial work including but not limited to power washing/lot striping, vent cleaning, refrigeration coil cleaning and light fixture lens cleaning.
• Light carpentry including but not limited to tile striping/repair, cabinetry repair, fence repair, wallpaper repair, caulking, and minor E.I.F.S. repair.
• Seasonal ground maintenance including lawn and garden care and snow removal when necessary.
• Climb Ladders, extension ladders or ladders mounted on restaurant walls and perform work/maintenance on rooftop of restaurants
• Assess repair needs and determine the cost efficiency between repairing the job personally versus utilizing an outside vendor. Negotiate bills for service and receive 2-3 bids for review and approval by Lead FMT and direct supervisor.
• Purchase and maintain limited inventories of all supplies, parts, tools and materials used on the job and kept in company vehicle.
• Responsible for ensuring workspace is cleaned up after repair is completed in the store and/or after any project. Ensure project completion. Follow up and follow through to verify final repair is up to DRM standard.
• Responsible for reviewing and completing daily EcoTrak maintenance support/service requests in a timely manner.
• Responsible for maintaining a professional working relationship with operations and ensures work is completed efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Maintain a positive mental attitude; maintain positive relationships and ensure teamwork between operations and field maintenance team.
• Responsible for professional and productive communication (verbal, email and text communication) with all levels of leadership.
• Maintain PM schedule and log; report same to Lead Field Maintenance Technician and direct supervisor.
• Manage and follow through with vendors.
• Maintain company vehicle, report maintenance/repairs to Lead Field Maintenance Technician as well as direct supervisor and adhere to Driver Safety Policy.
• May be required to take phone calls during the evening and weekends. All overtime must be approved by the Lead Field Maintenance Technician and direct supervisor.
• Responsible for operating/utilizing tools in a safe manner and adhere to the Safety Policy at all times.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned by management.
• Occasional overnight travel to another market may be required.

Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma or GED. One to two years' experience in building maintenance or light construction experience to include carpentry, painting, electrical, and mechanical operations, OR any similar combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and proof of valid auto insurance.
• Knowledge of safe working practices and OSHA regulations.
• Negotiating skills and cost estimation. Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
• Requires flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
• Computer skills and smart phone literacy required.
• Travel to and from assigned maintenance locations required.
