    HiFyve is hiring a Field Heavy Equiptment Mechanic in Schofield, WI!


    Salary: $33-$37/hour DOE

    Shift: Day Shift – Field-Based

    Location: Schofield, WI

    Position Overview


    We are hiring a skilled Field Technician to diagnose, repair, and service heavy construction equipment in the field and at customer locations. This role supports operations by providing expert troubleshooting, maintaining strong customer relationships, and delivering high-quality repair work. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems on heavy equipment.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of construction and municipal heavy equipment
    • Repair and service diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
    • Conduct reconditioning of equipment and related components
    • Provide on-site service and technical support to customers
    • Maintain strong customer relationships through communication and service excellence
    • Stay current on industry trends, equipment updates, and factory training
    • Complete all service documentation accurately and timely
    • Ensure a professional image in appearance, communication, and when operating a company vehicle
    • Contribute to team goals and support various service-related tasks


    Requirements

    • High school diploma or GED required; technical school or industry training strongly preferred
    • Minimum 2+ years of full-time heavy equipment repair experience (not a maintenance role)
    • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
    • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
    • CDL preferred but not required
    • Must supply personal hand tools to perform required repairs
    • Ability to complete a pre-hire mechanical aptitude test
    • Strong communication and customer service skills
