Are you the person other HVAC technicians call when they can't figure something out?
Sila Boston is looking for an experienced HVAC professional who is ready to take the next step into field leadership. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows the trade, enjoys helping other technicians succeed, and can keep multiple jobs moving in the right direction.
As our Field Foreman, you'll serve as a key resource for our HVAC technicians in the field. You'll help troubleshoot complex issues, provide technical guidance, coordinate jobs and manpower, and make sure our customers receive the level of quality and service they expect from Sila.
This isn't a desk job. We're looking for someone who wants to lead from the field and stay connected to the trade.
Serve as a technical resource and field leader for our HVAC technicians
Help technicians diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues
Provide hands-on field support when needed
Support residential HVAC systems with a strong emphasis on boilers and hydronic heating
Help coordinate daily jobs, technician priorities, manpower, and materials
Monitor jobs to make sure work is progressing safely, efficiently, and on schedule
Help technicians work through challenges that could delay or impact a job
Coach and develop technicians to strengthen their technical skills and confidence
Communicate with customers regarding work being performed, recommendations, and next steps
Partner closely with dispatch, service leadership, and other departments to keep field operations running smoothly
Identify potential problems early and help develop solutions
Maintain high standards for workmanship, safety, and customer service
Lead by example and help create a positive, accountable team environment
Extensive hands-on residential HVAC experience
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience with boilers and hydronic heating systems is required
Ability to confidently guide and support other HVAC technicians
Previous lead, foreman, or field leadership experience preferred
Strong understanding of residential HVAC installation and service
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple technicians, jobs, and priorities throughout the day
Organized, dependable, and comfortable making decisions in the field
A natural coach who enjoys helping technicians develop
Willingness to jump in and help when the team needs it
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
$120,000–$150,000 compensation
