We're hiring a Field Engineer to support construction, installation, commissioning, and startup activities for a large-scale food waste-to-energy facility in Burley, Idaho. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving real-world problems in the field, working directly with contractors and trades, and helping bring complex industrial systems to life.

Whether you're an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) looking to accelerate your career or a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) seeking project-level impact, this role offers exposure to every stage of facility development.

What You'll Do

  • Provide field engineering support during construction and installation activities
  • Work directly with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents
  • Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with design requirements
  • Assist with technical troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Conduct inspections and support quality assurance efforts
  • Coordinate field changes and construction documentation updates
  • Support project schedules and daily construction activities
  • Participate in equipment testing, commissioning, and startup activities
  • Promote a safe and efficient jobsite environment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Experience supporting construction, operations, maintenance, field engineering, or industrial projects
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work onsite in Burley, Idaho

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Industrial construction experience
  • Mechanical, electrical, or process systems experience
  • Renewable energy, power generation, manufacturing, food processing, or pharmaceutical experience
  • Commissioning and startup experience
  • Experience working directly with contractors and field personnel
