What You'll Do as a Field Engineer Trainee:
  • Support project communication, coordination, logistics, scheduling, and reporting activities at assigned job sites
  • Coordinate daily project activities with customers, owners, subcontractors, and internal departments
  • Learn field construction layouts, materials, equipment, assemblies, and project processes
  • Track and coordinate project supplies, tools, equipment, rentals, and material inventories
  • Assist with project scheduling, quality inspections, safety audits, reporting, and documentation
  • Support shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities
  • Review and track weld maps and other quality control documentation
  • Participate in and support jobsite safety meetings and compliance initiatives
  • Monitor third-party resources and contractors, including specialty labor and site support services
  • Travel to project locations throughout the United States for both short-term and long-term assignments

What You Need to Bring to the Field Engineer Trainee Role:
  • Associate degree or two-year technical education program preferred
  • Relevant industrial construction or field experience may be considered in place of formal education
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively and work at project sites nationwide
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the U.S.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining accuracy
  • Flexible mindset and willingness to take on new responsibilities as business needs evolve
