Field Engineer

Overview
We are seeking experienced Field Engineers to support a heavy industrial construction project. The ideal candidate will have experience developing, managing, and tracking construction documentation, coordinating field activities, and supporting project execution from installation through turnover.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Installation Work Packages
• Develop and manage Test Packages
• Conduct field walk-downs
• Prepare and manage Turnover Packages
• Create and maintain red-line as-built drawings
• Research specifications and field notes
• Develop and maintain project trackers to collect Earned Value metrics
• Apply Rules of Credit to measure work progress
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers, both verbally and in writing
• Present and defend findings using factual data and documentation

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Project Engineer experience
• Experience in heavy industrial construction environments
• Understanding of:
  • Above-ground piping systems
  • P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)
  • Isometric drawings (ISOs)
  • Bluebeam
  • Primavera P6 / Project scheduling tools
  • Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Project, etc.)
  • 3D design/modeling software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to support technical discussions with documented facts and findings
• Construction Management degree, Engineering degree, or equivalent industry experience (preferred)
