    Field Engineer 
    Contract/ Contract to Hire

    Job Summary
    Responsible for a broad range of operational support activities and Install, Move, Add, and Change (IMAC) requests supporting IT infrastructure across office environments, reservation centers, and airport locations.
    Essential Responsibilities:
    • Provide implementation and support for desktop devices, applications, peripherals, telephone systems, network devices, and airline-specific equipment, including kiosks and Information Display Systems.
    • Maintain and update asset management systems.
    • Provide on-site and on-call support in a 24x7x365 environment, as needed.
    • Perform physical relocation of IT infrastructure devices as specified in Service Requests, including:
      • PC workstations
      • Peripheral devices
      • Telephones
      • Network routers
      • Airport-specific devices
    • Perform upgrade services, including adding or changing workgroup computers, peripherals, and software, as specified in Service Requests.
    • Verify assets in accordance with policies prior to relocation.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues supported by Field Operations.
    • Communicate and coordinate with Field Planning and Project Management teams.
    • Conduct research, provide input into work orders, and occasionally assist with site surveys.
    • Perform preventive maintenance on operational devices.
    • Coordinate services with external vendors.
    • Install, customize, maintain, test, and troubleshoot operating systems and other system software.
    • Provide technical support to enterprise users as needed.
    • Configure, install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot hardware systems.
    Qualifications:
    • Basic knowledge of networking, servers, and common applications such as Microsoft Office and Outlook.
    • Basic knowledge of Wi-Fi and mobility technologies.
    • Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
    • Knowledge of computer peripherals and related equipment.
    • A+ Certification is preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.
    • Must be able to regularly move equipment weighing at least 30 pounds.
    • Ability to provide on-site and on-call 24x7x365 support, as required.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license.
    • Previous airline industry experience is preferred.
    • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
    • Must be willing to travel overnight when required.
