Job Title: Field Engineer 3

Location(s): Philadelphia, PA


Job Summary:
Seeking a Field Engineer 3 to provide desktop support, hardware installation, software troubleshooting, and maintenance services for computer systems and related technology products. This role supports desktops, laptops, printers, network devices, servers, and enterprise storage equipment while ensuring service requests are completed according to established service levels. The position requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, customer service focus, and the ability to work independently at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, maintain, and support desktop and laptop computers.
  • Perform basic hardware and software troubleshooting and repair.
  • Reload, re-image, and optimize computer systems as needed.
  • Support printers, network devices, servers, and peripheral equipment.
  • Conduct hardware installations, moves, adds, and changes.
  • Replace disks on enterprise storage products.
  • Test and certify PCs, networks, servers, and approved applications.
  • Provide support for legacy systems and core server products.
  • Escalate unresolved technical issues when appropriate.
  • Document and update incidents and service requests within the ticketing system.
  • Ensure compliance with customer service level agreements.
  • Maintain professionalism and deliver excellent customer service.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of computer support or desktop support experience.
  • Experience with computer hardware setup and installation.
  • Basic hardware troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic software troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CompTIA A+ Certification.
  • Experience supporting networks, servers, and enterprise storage products.
  • Experience with PC imaging and operating system deployment.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Assignment Details:

  • 12-month contract with potential extension.
  • Temp-to-permanent opportunity possible.
  • Non-driving role, though occasional travel between sites may be required.
