Your Day as a Field Diesel‑Hydraulic Service Technician

Location: Lima, OH

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM · Overtime after 40 hours · On‑call rotation with additional pay

Step into the truck at 7:00 AM

You roll out in a well‑equipped service vehicle to support a modern fleet of earthmoving and aerial machines. Our in‑house T3 technology flags issues before you arrive, so you spend more time fixing and less time guessing.

• Morning: Triage assignments in T3, review fault codes and schematics, and head to the first site.
• Mid‑day: Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel diagnostics; complete repairs on rental and customer units independently.
• Afternoon: Document work orders on your tablet, coordinate pickup or delivery of parts/equipment, and button up the job.
• Throughout the week: Keep your service truck organized and professional, mentor junior techs, and jump into the on‑call rotation when scheduled (with extra pay).

What you’ll tackle

• Advanced troubleshooting of diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems on heavy equipment and aerial lifts
• Use of diagnostic software and wiring diagrams/schematics to isolate faults
• Accurate work order notes and parts usage logged daily in T3 (laptop/tablet)
• Pickup/delivery support for equipment and components as needed
• Uphold a high standard of safety and professionalism on every site

Bring your expertise

• Hands‑on experience with heavy equipment, aerial platforms, or diesel systems
• Your own professional tool set
• Ability to interpret electrical/hydraulic schematics and perform system diagnostics
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; 21+ to operate company vehicles

Bonus points

• Trade school training or OEM certifications
• Familiarity with OSHA safety practices
• Experience across multiple equipment brands
